Clicklaw is now live
Clicklaw is now live at www.clicklaw.bc.ca. On launch, the site features legal information and education resources aimed at the public from the 24 organizations that have been formally participating in Clicklaw. The site is launching as a beta website, which means that we’ll be continually working on improving the site and adding more features and resources in the months ahead. See what’s coming soon to Clicklaw.
We’d love to hear your thoughts about this beta version of Clicklaw. Please consider taking our short feedback survey, or feel free to offer comments about the Clicklaw beta below.

Law Courts Education Society is proud to be part of Clicklaw – the premiere online destination for legal resources in British Columbia.
Congratulations to all those involved in the project. We look forward to seeing the site grow in functionality and audience.
Cheers!
Dave
Congratulations on a worthy project! I will have it bookmarked and will recommend it to others as it develops.
Thank you,
Rita
Many people who seek to apply for divorce and who have lost touch with their spouse who is in another province must often try and contact Central Divorce Registry in Ottawa to determine if perhaps unbeknown to them their spouse has initiated divorce proceedings elsewhere in Canada. There cannot be two divorce applications filed concurently so this is important.
In any event I was trying to use Click Law the other day to find the Central Divorce website and phone number that a party must phone in Ottawa to determine if an application for Divorce has already been filed. Was not able to find the website using click Law. Suggest this be added as it is a frequent occurence.
I ended up going to the mothership search engine Google for my search and found it that way.
Thanks,
Richard
Great suggestion, Richard. In the early part of the new year, we will be adding resources to Clicklaw from a wider range of organizations, including a number of federal resources such as the Central Divorce Registry. We also plan to expand on the common questions feature (for examples, see these common questions on family law); your suggestion here sounds like a great candidate to add.
Congratulations on a worthy project!
