Clicklaw HelpMap: Contributing
The Clicklaw team is inviting your organization to contribute information about your legal service(s) to the Clicklaw website. You can:
- Continue reading the information on this page for more details about the HelpMap and the information we are collecting about legal services around BC.
- Add your service to Clicklaw by completing our online form.
What is Clicklaw HelpMap?
HelpMap is a new feature that we are adding to Clicklaw this year. Integrated with Google Maps, HelpMap will assist the public in finding those who can provide assistance with legal problems in their community. It will also assist service providers who are making referrals for clients who have legal issues.
HelpMap will include information about legal services provided by groups including:
- pro bono clinics, community legal clinics, and legal aid offices
- court registries
- courthouse libraries
- self-help and justice access centres
- Native Courtworkers, and organizations with community legal advocates
- key government agencies
- dozens of other law-related helping services
What information will we be providing?
Clicklaw is asking for basic information about your service(s), such as:
- The name and description of your legal service(s)
- Address and/or phone number
- Topics related to the service
How will HelpMap help my organization?
- It will help raise awareness of the legal services that you provide to your community.
- The public will be able to find you more easily.
- You’ll have a better idea of what legal services are available in your community.
