  • BC’s Human Rights Code educational sessions: Housing (Webinar)
    by BC’s Office of the Human Rights Commissioner
    • What: This session covers the area of housing. Every person has the right to be free from discrimination whether they are renting or buying a place to live, or participating as a member of a group like a strata or a housing co-op. This is an interactive session and you’ll learn about your rights and responsibilities as they relate to housing.

    • What: For renters and landlords alike, we’re answering your questions — live. Whether you’ve just started renting and want to know the essentials or you’ve been renting for years and just been given notice, we have you covered. Our returning speakers, lawyer Lisa Mackie and Robert Williams of the Residential Tenancy Branch, will answer your questions live. You may submit your questions live during the webinar, or submit them in advance.

  • RDSP Level 1 (Webinar)

    • What: Beginner RDSP workshop for those who want to learn what an RDSP is, who qualifies, how to apply for the Disability Tax Credit, and how to open an RDSP. This is best suited to people who want to learn the basics of RDSPs and get general information about the plan. No background knowledge needed to get the most out of this workshop.

  • Parenting Arrangements and Child Support (In-Person and Zoom)

  • RDSP Level 2 (Webinar)

    • What: This Advanced RDSP workshop is for those who already have a RDSP or have already taken level 1 and would like to deepen their knowledge and learn how to maximize growth. This workshop includes more complicated financial information so attendees should already understand RDSP basics and review our glossary of terms before attending this workshop.

  • To Zoom or Not to Zoom: Virtual AGMs in 2022 (Webinar)
    by Vantage Point and PLEO
    • What: Are you planning for a fall AGM? If so, you may need to hear some updates! The Court and the CRT have recently decided that electronic AGMs can only be held where they are allowed for in the bylaws. If your bylaws do not specifically allow for virtual meetings you may need to rethink what kind of AGM you will have. You’ll come away understanding what you need to do to change your bylaws or whether you can relax and enjoy the view.
