  • Nidus Webinar Wednesdays (Webinar)

    • What: Each Wednesday, the Nidus Resource Centre will do a free online presentation (webinar). There will be a short presentation on the legal planning documents available under BC legislation – e.g. Representation Agreements, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Wills – and a brief introduction to the Nidus Registry. Then it is open to your questions. Your questions do not have to relate to the presentation.

  • Refugee Sponsorship Conflict Resolution Training: Session One Skills Building (Webinar)
    by Refugee Sponsorship Training Program
    • What: This project will train sponsors to manage complex issues and conflicts as well as receive immediate support, mediation and coaching from trained mediators, with the overall aim of reducing sponsorship breakdowns. The two-part training sessions include interactive exercises, role plays, and discussion. Participants will also receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of both sessions.

    • What: In 2022, NI? TU,O Child and Family Services Society and the Indigenous Law Research Unit released a Toolkit on Coast Salish Laws Relating to Child and Caregiver Nurturance and Safety. This presentation will highlight key sections in the Toolkit and explore the role that communities, governments, agencies and individuals can play in revitalizing and incorporating Coast Salish law, and more broadly, Indigenous law, into legislation, policy, and practice.

  • Colour of Violence: Race Gender and Anti-Violence Services (Webinar)
    by Battered Women’s Support Services (BWSS)
    • What: Over the past year, BWSS has been engaged in a community-based research project to better understand and raise awareness on the experiences of Indigenous, Black, newcomer immigrant/refugee, and racialized survivors accessing gender-based violence services in British Columbia.
