    • What: In partnership with the Wavefront Centre DeafBlind Services Program, Seniors First BC will be presenting about Advanced Planning tools including Wills, Power of Attorneys, and Representation Agreements. This is in-person at Wavefront Centre 2005 Quebec Street. Zoom option available. ASL Interpretation and Cart Service provided.

  • Affidavit Swearing Service Legal Forms Workshop (In-Person)

    • What: AC Friends of Court is hosting its legal forms workshop in the City of Richmond. There is a $0 affidavit swearing service. Bring your legal documents and ID. This is in person at CHIMO 7000 Minoru Blvd, Richmond. This service is provided in English, Chinese, Punjabi, and Hindi.

  • RDSP Level 1 (Webinar)

    • What: Beginner RDSP workshop for those who want to learn what an RDSP is, who qualifies, how to apply for the Disability Tax Credit, and how to open an RDSP. This is best suited to people who want to learn the basics of RDSPs and get general information about the plan. No background knowledge needed to get the most out of this workshop.

These are targeted to the community living sector. Self-advocates, MCFD staff, STADD Navigator, and personal supporters (family, friend) are welcome!

  • Standing Up Against Racism and Sexism: Knowing Your Rights (In-Person)

    • What: This presentation will help you understand your rights under human rights law. By the end of this presentation, you will discover: how the BC Human Rights Code tries to protect you against racism and sexism; what happens when you make a human rights complaint using the BC Human Rights Tribunal; what kind of evidence you need to prove your case of racism or sexism; and how to get help to solve your complaint. This is an in-person event held at Richmond Public Library, Brighouse Branch at 7700 Minoru Gate #100 Richmond.

  • Everyday Law Series: How to Navigate Your Human Rights Complaint (In-Person and Webinar)

  • Brief Introduction of BC Legal Planning Documents and Nidus Registry Service (Webinar)

    • What: On the first Wednesday of each month, the Nidus Resource Centre will do a free online presentation. Nidus will do a short presentation on the legal planning documents available under BC legislation – e.g. Representation Agreements, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Wills – and a brief introduction to the Nidus Registry service. Then it is open to your questions. Your questions do not have to relate to the presentation.
