    • What: Improving your financial wellness will empower you to make informed decisions in areas where law and finance intersect by helping you better understand your legal obligations (like debt repayment and taxes) and avoid legal pitfalls that can arise when finances are mismanaged.   • Everyday Law Series Summer 2024: Employment Law (In-Person and Webinar)

    • What: Volunteers help you understand legal procedures and complete paperwork. Attendees can expect a 70-minute presentation in three languages and a 15-minute Q&A. The Series is part of the Pan Asian Justice Project which AC is hosting in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

  • Disability and Divorce (In-Person)
    by Collaborative Divorce Vancouver
    • What: This 2-day in person training session will help define what is a disability; you’ll learn about financial resources available to persons with disability, considerations for working with Neurodivergent children and adults, spousal and child support and disability, and more. Held at Creekside Community Center, 1 Athletes Way, Vancouver. Visit CDV’s website to register. Breakfast, lunch and hot beverages included.

    • What: In partnership with 411 Seniors, join Seniors First for an overview of the programs and services that they offer to older adults across BC. This includes descriptions of services and examples of how they support older adults and those concerned about their well-being through our confidential SAIL phone line, Victim Services support, Public Education & Outreach, and pro-bono Legal Services (for eligible older adults). Held at 411 Seniors, 3502 Fraser St Vancouver.
