  • Making a Will in BC: Town Hall 2022 (Webinar)

    • What: In celebration of Make a Will Week in British Columbia, we’re inviting you to join us for a Town Hall webinar where we focus on you and your questions. Lawyers Michael Scott and Brandi Stocks and notary public Clinton Lee will answer your questions about making or updating your will. Whether you want to know how to pick an executor, options for gifting your property, how often to update your will, or what to do about your kids, our speakers can give you the information you need to take your next step.

  • Settlement Support Connection Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program : Overview (Webinar)
    by Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP)
    • What: The session will provide an overview of the differences between Canada’s resettlement programs, with a focus on the Private Sponsorship of Refugee (PSR) and the Blended Visa Office Referred (BVOR) programs. Come get the most up-to-date information from IRCC on these programs. This session is the first part of a two-part training series tailored to settlement workers.

  • Settlement Support Connection: Working with Privately Sponsored Refugees (Webinar)

  • To Zoom or Not to Zoom: Virtual AGMs in 2022 (Webinar)

    • What: Are you planning for a fall AGM? If so, you may need to hear some updates! The Court and the CRT have recently decided that electronic AGMs can only be held where they are allowed for in the bylaws. If your bylaws do not specifically allow for virtual meetings you may need to rethink what kind of AGM you will have. You’ll come away understanding what you need to do to change your bylaws or whether you can relax and enjoy the view.
