Spreading the word about Clicklaw

Last week, as part of the Just a Click Away initiative, the Clicklaw website and CLEONet were featured in a one-hour webinar hosted by Courthouse Libraries BC. The webinar was part of a series looking at seven different website models being used in regions across Canada (and one from the States) to deliver public legal education and information.

If you didn’t get the chance to participate in the webinar, you can still see what was covered. The webinar recording and supporting materials are now posted on the webinars page on the Just a Click Away project website. Registration is still open for the remaining two webinars, and best of all, they’re free!

The broader context

Clicklaw was featured in a webinar that took place on January 11 as part of the Just a Click Away initiative. The goal of the overall initiative is to enhance access to justice through effective use of technology. The initiative features a national conference in Vancouver on February 23 – 24, 2011. A preconference webinar series features approaches being used in various jurisdictions to provide access online to public legal education & information. In addition to Clicklaw, the webinars feature CLEONet, ACJNet (now LawNet), PovNet, LawHelp.org, Educaloi, and InMyLanguage.org.
