Navigator Training for Seniors Housing and Support courses are specially designed for social service workers, supporting seniors who need housing information and support in BC.

Class 1 (presented by Seniors Services Society of BC)
Thursday, April 15th, 10-11:15 am

  • Aging and its relation to housing needs
  • Housing navigation

Class 2
Thursday, April 22nd, 10-11:30 am

  • Types of seniors housing
  • BC Housing Supports
  • BC Health Authorities – housing options with supports

Class 3 (guest speaker: Tenant Resource and Advisory Centre)
Thursday, April 29th, 10-11:15 am

  • Rights/responsibilities of senior renters
  • Housing advocacy for seniors

Class 4 (guest speaker: YMCA of Greater Vancouver – Digital Literacy Exchange Program)
Thursday, May 6th, 10-11:15 am

  • Digital literacy for seniors
  • Elder Abuse Prevention

Time Commitment (per course week): 2 to 2.5 hours

Course fees:

  • $150 (early bird deadline – March 31, 2021)
  • $200 (after March 31, 2021)
