Renovate the Public Hearing Project (New)
Local governments must hold public hearings on regulating land use. The Renovate the Public Hearing Project seeks a better way to engage in land-use decision-making through law reform, public engagement, and considering alignment with Indigenous governance.

BC Family Law Unbundling Roster

Family Lawyers and Paralegals Offering Unbundled Legal Services (Updated)
The BC Family Law Unbundling Roster is a list of family lawyers & paralegals who will perform select legal tasks for clients who do not want or cannot afford full representation. Unbundled legal services means clients pay for some assistance depending on what help they want & what they can afford. Professionals listed here are sorted by location. Inclusion does not imply endorsement. Many of the practitioners on the list provide remote/digital as well as in-person service.

Indigenous Community Legal Clinic (ICLC)

Indigenous Community Legal Clinic (ICLC) (Updated)
The Indigenous Community Legal Clinic is an educational legal clinic of the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC that provides legal services to the Indigenous community in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, and throughout the Lower Mainland. The Clinic may be able to provide advice, assistance and representation to eligible clients who cannot afford a lawyer and who self-identify as Indigenous persons.

Upper Skeena Counselling and Legal Assistance Society

USCLAS Legal Aid Agent, Legal Aid Representation, Advocacy Program (Updated)
USCLAS accepts applications for legal aid, provides legal aid lawyers, offers private legal services (family, criminal, employment, wills), and provides poverty law advocacy for aboriginals and non-aboriginals.
