Update: For information on the September 1, 2016 increase to PWD benefit rates and the changes to the bus pass program, see the Disability Alliance blog post here.
Following our update on BC Disability Benefits last November, Clicklaw contributor Disability Alliance BC (DABC) has updated several of their help sheets to reflect the changes. See our updated Common Question, “How are BC disability benefits changing on December 1, 2015?” for the new links.
The Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation (MSDSI) have also announced a more streamlined application process for Persons with Disabilities Benefits (PWD) for those in programs such as: Community Living BC, the Ministry of Children and Family Development At Home program, BC PharmaCare Plan P – Palliative Care, Canada Pension Plan – Disability. DABC will be updating more help sheets to reflect these changes, so stay tuned!
